New Float .... Sort of ....

Since it is looking pretty likely I won't have the CV23 on the water this year, I picked up something to have some fun with. A good friend picked up a nice 18' Sea Ray in June; we've been boating with them quite a bit, figured this'll give us all some additional fun. She was pretty happy getting surprised with it this morning.

Except for a little less cabin space...lol. I bet that would fit in the trunk of the Falcon.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of only having the jetski on the water. They're fun, but better if you have the boat as well to hang out on. I'm guessing this won't be a long term keeper for me.

Took it out today for a few hours. It gets up very well. It does idle a bit rough, seems like the idle is too low. I'll have to bring a few tools with next weekend to bump it a bit.

Just curious if you got the boat done and still have that Kawi jet ski, or did you sell it?

Still have it, and since having just one isn't all that fun, I bought myself one. A 2000 Ultra 150. The Ultra is just wicked fast. If you're just cruising and grab WOT, you better be holding on tight.
The boat is 'done', so to speak, she ran much better with the Ignitor II, Flame Thrower II, and QFT 850cfm carb; but did start to knock a little the last time we had her out. Starts to make noise around 1800rpm, so I think it's a cracked flex plate. I probably won't get to it for a couple months, until our weather gets a bit warmer. I'll have to basically prep it as if I were pulling the engine in order to slide the engine far enough forward on the rails to get the driveshaft/PTO out. Here's a pic of the three of them together.

Where do you boat at in Co springs? I have a very close who lives there. We are thinking about stopping by her place on out way to lake Powell this year and want to boat at as many places as we can. Thx, Dean.
