That is some serious motivation! Any more pictures of it? Bow tank? Love it!

Well I am still tinkering with this thing. My grandmother put together a binder full of everything my grandpa had on it. I will have to take some more pictures. But I have all of his hand written notes on the motor build! and his original parts notes and prices. I also took some pictures of the Jetovator box(?). I need to replace that cable. and of the pump ID tag. Waiting for my dad to finish his airplane project so I can move the boat into a place that I can work on it!

I looked through different articles yesterday at the student forum. Found one student survey. As this survey showed, not all students can easily figure out the subject on which the essay was asked. You know, it's true. Sometimes I order essays at Essays.Assigncode, but only on topics that I canít understand. Guys, why are you ordering an essay?

Well Progress has been made! Jetovator cable went in last night. Tanks have been test fit... and fresh fuel lines have been cut to fit. Hopefully tonight I can get the tanks in and start on that process. It was really hard not to rip all of the wiring out to redo it all. But I just want to get the boat in the water.

Well! After busting it out for a week to make vacation! I can say it was a success! The tanks are great! New cable worked awesome! Even got to do some tuning with dad on it over the weekend! We pulled off the original quadrajet carb... which had a giant dead spot and you would have to work the pedal to get the boat on plane.... swapped on a Holly that he had reworked from his ski boat... and it was so much better.... still needs fine tuning but getting the boat out of the hole and having it hold a steady speed. Now with the new carb... I found that I can only go 3/4 throttle and I reach 5k rpms. I have been told that is as fast as I want to spin the Olds.... So I guess I need to tighten up the pump. And for some reason I really want a tunnel ram... I am ready to sell the dirt bikes off. Wife was way more into this than going to watch me race.... But I got more thumbs up and conversations than I ever imagined at the gas station.

5000 for an Olds can cost you a CAM damn fast. Be careful not to pump all your oil up top by running too fast too long.
what kind of speed are you getting?

I saw 52 mph with 2 adults and full of fuel. I see you are in Grand Rapids... I am going to try to make on the the MI Hot boat deals before the end of the year to see if someone with a little more understanding can tell me what I believing to be is a loose pump.
