    Nice boat, like the right hand steering setup, looks like it will fit in nicely over here in South Africa.

    Any particular reason why this one is right hand steer?

    I like the low profile look of the engine cover, and what is under that nice cover.

    Checkmate did not make a lot of Jetmates but all the ones I have seen are the traditional right hand drive like there I/O's and outboards. It's packing a .30 over 396 BBC. Roller cam and rockers. She is putting out close to 500 hp, so says my machine shop guy. It will do just under 70 mph and she likes a good chop to get her going.

    All the really cool boats have right hand steer
