Thanks. Glad to see some more northerners on the site.

For the time being I'm putting the 496 back together for next season. Cam gear bolts backed out at 5500 rpm's. Lost a head off a valve and holed a piston, cracked the block, bent a rod and tore up one of the head chambers.

A 598/632 blower motor is in the future as the boats setup for 1200+ hp, but the kids come first.

To heck with the kids. They just suck the life out of you the older they get!!! Build the engine. Let them pay for their own clothes, cars, dates, fun, and college!!!

I actually traded a 468 blower motor for my 14 yr old daughters jr dragster. She took track championship and won a Wally this year, so I aint complainin! Both girls are racing and my son will be starting next year. Looks like we'll be traveling to other tracks as well, so my toy is on hold. The wakeboard boat runs, so the family is still on the water which is what matters. The tunnel ram motor makes over 800 hp and gets the boat movin well enough for now. Plus I an take a little more time and build the mill the way I want.
