    1977 Spectra 18' for sale

Putting my spectra 18 up for sale. I am the second owner of this boat I bought it directly from the original owner. I have every piece of documentation for the boat the original owner had and what Ive accrued.

For its age the boat is in good shape I just have too many hobbies and need to let this go to someone who can make use of it.

I currently have approximately $3,500 in the boat but I,m willing to listen to offers. I'm located in Magnolia Texas.

    - Engine was rebuilt after tossing a rod
    - The OE block required 1 sleeve to put it back together
    - Machinist has experience with marine engines (not machined to auto specs)
    - NOS ford "football" rods
    - Eagle Crank
    - Speedpro forged pistons
    - Durabond half cut cam bearings
    - Speedpro crank and rod bearings
    - Armondos deep sump oil pan
    - Distributor was fitted with a electronic ignition
    - Fuel system was redone using a carter P4603HD which is rated for Marine use
    - The pump is wired up with a oil pressure fail safe (pump will quit running if the engine looses pressure)
    - I rebuilt the pump with a new thrust bearing while the engine was out
    - Had 2 new custom fuel tanks fabricated to OEM dimensions by Atlantic welding "speedy tanks"
    - Tanks are installed with straps for easy removal if required.
    - Boat has a place diverter and hydraulic trim tabs

There are photos and videos of the boat on my photobucket.

I have a short page on the boat listed in the introduction section. If you have any questions please feel free to PM me and ill give you my phone number.

Thanks for the heads up. My links were all old photobucket links I hadnt realized they no longer link back...

I put new spicer HD u-joints while the engine was out too. The tanks are marine rated and have the coast guard sticker. All rubber hoses were replaced with marine grade lines.

Have a price in mind? I can forward to a buddy that is cruiser shopping for a clean turn key float ready for spring.

Id like to stay as close to $3,500 as possible but willing to entertain offers I honestly have no idea what the boats go for at this time.

Thanks Dean, in my opinion it is clean for its age. The worst thing is the engine cover has a nasty spiderweb crack that was there when I bought the boat. I was going to have a color matched wrap put on that at some point in time and just never got around to it. I will post a photo of the crack not looking to mis represent the boat.

have to agree with Jason. the boat looks very good. the attention to maintenance, and timely repairs, says a lot about the owner. Looks like it would be a nice float for MR WooHoo, Jason.

I’m guessing you work out of a hot rod shop of sorts? A lotta toys in there, but a question about the cracked block? Is it from the stress points or possibilities of winter weather conditions? Curious if it can be realistically repaired or better to replace block? Pics always help for sure and a video walk around is an awesome plus with close ups of pump running gear and gelcoat finish. Hope this is helpful/useful? It’s certainly a beautiful styled hull. I do really see the value in it. Dean.
