Went to the new panther jet factory today

I needed a seal kit for a old e pump that goes to my 76 .

So I emailed panther and he said come by we're in Fountain Valley , 20 min from my house .
Chad the ouners son helped me and was very nice .he showed me the amphibious panther jeeps and loaned me a mold for the panther jet intake / hull insert.

He gave me a vey good deal on the parts and through in a repair manual .

I have a project I may take on to mod a Bertram 25 from twin io to twin v8 jet .
The mold is going to make it a lot easyer to do.

i may try to make a tool of the panther mold and shape a new smaller intake that fits in the stock molded intake.

    That's awesome, keep it alive!

Those Older Bertram's were the "OG" of the Offshore racing world for a very long time and were copied more than i can count. 24* dead rise at the transom and a killer bow made for rough water. Did you have the OMC's on that? Post some pics...

The boat owner sold the boat to someone else.

We are looking at a skipjack 25 with some dead twin Volvo io's and inline b30 6 cylinders.
I like the Volvo b30 engine . My first race car was a Volvo 142 and I loved it .
but the marine parts are no longer available for the b30 engine .

i am thinking twin 250 chevys to replace the b30's , but I don't know if they will have enough power to drive the jets.

Have you thought about the Volvo injected/supercharged I5 motors instead?
Ive seen several used as replacements instead of the OEM V8? Volvo B5244T
