Yes that is what I meant, bolt on the flex plate & slip on the jet pump spline. Sorry for the confusion......

A few bites over at performance boats, but too small. Apparently this boat has twin 29gallon tanks. So I ordered brand new tanks from atlantic welding should have them next week.

Pulling the engine tomorrow afternoon, fingers crossed nothings too hurt to keep me from reusing the block.

Engine is out, number 2 rod decided to let loose at the bearing cap and attempt to share number 1's bore.

Block is usable, crank is toast. Block is toast.

Im going to put it back together semi stock, gotta decide what brand crank to use. Anyone go with the Scat or Eagle Cast Steel for jet boats?

My new 572 bbc has scat crap....,pun intended. So far I have ran 20 gal of gas through her.lol
My thoughts are/were a callies or high dolla crank would be over kill for my NA pump gas deal.....with no power adders other than my right foot.
I was impressed the shop I used even beat summit's price.
Edit: I dont THINK my scat crank is cast.....but these days I am not SURE of anything.

Ive gotta do some more research, mainly on the crank balance. It had a 2YABC crank in it. Only aftermarket cranks with a stock stroke are from Eagle and Scat. Eagles is internal while scats is external. I think the 2Y series are all internally balanced which points me to the Eagle Cast steel crank for mild usage. And of course ill be chatting with my machinist
