    Bacon, Beef, Vegie Pot Pies

    Make 4 pies!

    For the crust:

    4 slices bacon, crispy and drained.

    1 1/4 cups flour

    1/2 teaspoon salt

    8tablespoons (whole stick) butter

    drizzle of water

    black pepper to taste

    for the filling:

    2 each medium carrots,parsnips,and turnips peeled and cut cubed, ( 1" x 1 1x 1/2")

    20 pearl onions an X cut on root end

    3 tablespoons butter

    2lbs rib roast of beef (Filet mignon) cut into 1"x1" cubes
    4 large shallots chopped
    1/2 cup red wine
    1/4cup brandy or cognac
    parsley if you want some
    salt and pepper to taste

    Making the crust:
    Mix ingredients until all resemble a fine meal. Add water until it balls up. Add flour until its a pie crust. Yall know this.

    Never mind, pot pies are simple. The jist of the recipe is bacon in the crust and rib meat in the center. I happen to hate carrots but most people use them as fillers. Meat and onions is a beautiful option! Enjoy
