Sleek Freak, that looks like a good deal, but I think the 3,400 mile trip is still too far for me at the moment.

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone!

There is another option if you don't want to make a road trip how about a transport service. I had a 1973 Corvette picked up from the seller by a member on another Boat Forum in Florida as the seller was getting flaky and picked up from his shop.

I had a H3 Hummer shipped from NC, 1973 Corvette shipped from NC, 1974 Corvette shipped from Tx. Most of those were 2300 plus miles one way to Utah.

Call Frank and see where he is, where he is going to be and what he has coming up.

I also have friend in the business. He lives in Kentucky now. He likes to send me pics from San Diego to Key West, especially this time of year. Price per mile depends on load and fuel price. A no motor jet boat w/dual axle trailer is "don't know its back there". But ask Dean how trips can go wrong. A good transporter delivers as advertised and most have a good ethic. I am planning a trip to OK/LA/MS one of these days. I will hire a transporter to get the goods there and fly in for the fun. And trust me I am not a high roller!!!!!!

some transporters have problems too. ask the guy on P.B. that thought his boat was stolen when it never showed up. the transporter was broke and out of gas. the owner had to drive to Kansas to gather up his boat and trailer.

Hey I'd do it, but I think we all know this little adventure would end up, right?

Thankfully the owner was a stand up guy, even though I was a day late!
