  2. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

How she sits now waiting for me to make more time. I'm "lucky" that I'm still working during this whole Corona thing, but the time off would be nice too!

  3. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

Another cool tip I figured out is that these braided oil dipstick tubes can be taken apart and cut to a nice length! How did I not know that before? :41616-4:

This looks 100x nicer than it did...
  4. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

The tanks went in 1st. These were custom made by a buddy of mine a while back. I added a few layers of rust inhibitor on the parts you cant see then bolted them. There are 4 bolts holding each...
  5. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

I was trying to figure out where to mount a fuel filter after the mechanical pump. One neat little trick I made was this "bushing" so to speak. It's a short 7/16 bolt I drilled and tapped with 1/4...
  6. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

Hey everyone, it's update time! Had a few other projects to knock off the list before I could spend much on on the ol Tahiti. Just knocking small things off the list and making steady progress. As...
  7. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

Thanks! There are some flaws but hopefully no once notices as I fly by going 65+ :)
  8. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

Yeah, a few more years and it might get done! :41616-4: Kidding! Gonna go as quick as I can once the holidays are done. :drv::rooster:
  9. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

Last but not least, the interior. It was was sprayed with a tinted white gel coat, blue spatter paint then anti-slip mixed into the clear. Came out pretty nice I think...

Hey everyone, thought you all might be interested in some update pics. After many delays, the hull is pretty much done. Time to start putting it all back together!

Here it is at mt buddy's house...

    Re: LS1 reversion question

I'd tend to agree. That 119.5 LSA typically means there isn't much overlap in the intake and exhaust valve cycles. Exhaust reversion happens when the intake opens before the exhaust has closed.

Not sure why the forum is flipping some pic over :(
  14. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

A bit more progress, couple hours at a time...

After looking at the bilge area and how it's open to the area under the seat, we thought that could be a recipe for oily water to make it's way into...
  15. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

I've been slacking off a little on the boat but have managed to do a few other things. I assembled the main jet housing and trial fit it and the engine.

  16. Re: Because the old project was too much of a project, project

5 months later... Getting closer! Since the floors are foam we decided that trying to screw the throttle and diverter handle directly into them would last about 3 seconds. I hated to do it but...

For Sale Re: 79 Sleek Sportster

Crap... welcome to the club I suppose. Trust me when I say in retrospect this is probably a good thing? Not sure that helps at this point but 7 years later I'm happier than I was married :)

Re: Hi ram intake on 460

If you can "try before you buy" I think the tunnel ram will out perform the Performer at 4,500-5,000 RPM. Jet boats don't need the off-idle torque to get moving like a car does so a "top end"...

    Re: 1977 Glastron Carlson CV23

Wow that's about the nicest CV23 I've seen. Not that I've seen many, but wow! Most seem to have a funky stepped front that, to me, is hideous. I always wondered why they didn't slope it like how...
