    Post a pic of the whole boat, and some of the pump.

    Check the seal face for wear or cracks, if the seal fails, you will definitely swamp your boat.

    Sacrificial anode, some pumps were fitted with this for seawater use.

    The Hamilton pumps tend to build up quite a bit of static electricity while running.

    Use a good grade waterproof marine grease on the bearing, do not over grease as you will push the mechanical water seal back and will swamp your boat and ruin the bearing. The bearing is a split type...

    You are running a closed cooling system, I would also check the heat exchanger for any cracks, had one go bad on a Hamilton Jet with 302 Ford once.
    That was on the oil cooler side, if you run one.

    If I were in your shoes I would buy all the stuff you mentioned new. If your budget allows it, I would go for forged pistons, OEM cast pistons is not up to the job in a marine application...
