Dave, Most ride plates are adjustable at the mount below the bowl. If yours is a fixed mount not to worry you can place a small stack of washers between the ride plate and the mount until you lower the angle of the ride plate to creat enought tail drag to correct the proposing. You may at some point find that's why they sell these with turnbuckle adjusted ride plates. Every single hull is unique to how it reacts to the water.

I just got the flooring back in the Biesemeyer, now I need to do wiring. UGH!!! Not sure if the boat will be there this year, I am going to do everything to make it at least for a day or so. I'm hoping the boat will be ready. All my family courts (or lack there of) issues set me waaaay back financially. So I'm on a skinny budget. A friend said to setup a go find me account! I laughed, then almost cried. I don't think it's appropriate to use 'gofundme' to pay for a weekend of fun!! If I can make it with out my boat I'm hoping to catch a ride or 3 from all you brothers?? We' see how things go in September. check out my link and subscribe:

I'd love to do a get together and go up to see some white water river racing or even Sprint boat races. It's super popular in Australia, was somewhat here but Lucas oil stop carrying the series. 650 Hp + in a 14 ft aluminum race hull with a 3 or 4 stage Hamilton jet...screams FUN!!! If anyone is up for something like this, pls let me know? I know some of the season is short but definitely a fun time.

Well, for what its worth I myself would go with a SCB, and a 383 HO Stroker kit. Pound for pound, you cannot beat it. I have had 2. Both were 440 Hp 450 ft lbs torque. Single High rise Dual plane and a 800 CFM w/mechanical secondaries. I never had an issue with overheating or milkshakes bottom end. I did put a Crane cams Mutha Thumper in one, but it did not like it at all. Used the same cams in both. What I am saying is you can get a lot of Hp out those SBC if you do it correctly and do not cheap out in the build. The added weight of BBF or BBC isnt my deal. And if you want to really go big, you can also Slap on a 6/71 or 8-71 blower, and still squeez it out without scattering the thing in the lake or taking out a second on the house. Just my .02 cents. Dean.
