    Closer....but still havent got wet this year. Ever have stuff that should be easy....but fights ya all the way? Thats the only starter in my life that I couldnt get something behind the starter gear and pull it fwd into the flexplate to check clearance. Ended up holding the dl up and had my kid hit the Then had mystery fuel pressure issues. Any one been out....going out this weekend?? Once upon a time we use to plan trips and meet up to I am pretty sure Dustin would be buddy Todd heads out most weekends....went to utah lake last sunday in his new pontoon boat

    Are your heads oval or rectangular port?? If you take a peak at an impeller hp chart......think you will answer your own question as far as single vs dual plane. Edit...I agree also with who ever posted needs to match your cam also.....and heads,compression ratio ect. MOST I think are better off with a single plane. The dart on I just glanced at said something like 3500-8500 rs The hp chart I just looked at has about 130 hp to get an A cut impy to 3500 r's Should be a cake walk for either a single or a dual plane in a 454......the single SHOULD perform better above 3500....if everything else is copacetic.

    Its been a long road....but I am hoping to be water ready by sunday. I bolted a new starter on last night....but it was too late/dark to check it for clearance. Need to fab up a new floater bar and get creative with some trailer fenders. A couple of my friends are talking about deer creek sunday. I think I would rather hit utah lake even though deer creek is 6 min from my house. I am hoping to make a 90 mph fly by and think I may get some unwanted attention at deer creek. Anyone else going out this weekend??

    I had an olds in a k boat that the dipstick tube broke off. I shortened the "Stick" and made a mark after I knew I had the right amount of oil in it. Worked pretty good until the bottom half of the tube dropped into the bottom end and took out a piston skirt. Hind sight is 20/20.....needless to say i wish I would have pulled the motor and fixed it right to begin with.
