Kreg, day rates were same as camping kuz they wanted people just to stay on the freerange beach instead of driving home LOL. $25 for 2 nights w/boat always seemed like a deal to me. It was the last open shore, do whatever you wanted, had space to camp lake in Northern Utah IMO. Except for the drunk that sank my fancy anchor and float that one time with his half wacker, always liked it there. Yes it was small but on weekdays the lake was yours! I don't think any res in UT has a noise restriction except that it can get you unwanted attention like an inspection or lecture that really isn't legal but..... Any res deemed motorless means electric or paddle only. Even Moon Lake "fishermans paradise" just has a sign that politely asks loud vessels, ski vessels, personal watercraft etc that they are welcome but please be respectful to other users of the lake. Meaning stay off but if you have a good lawyer you could fight it? Anyway, Echo Resort was the last of its kind. The State has been pushing Joy around for 15yrs and finally won. Its a shame, next summer an asphalt jungle with camping spots the size of HomeDepot parking spots will beckon all, the café will be gone, no more camp fires and worst of all my favorite little cove will probably have "reserved for the next 3months for political reasons" on the new picnic table pavilion.
