455 Milk Shake

Yesterday was my fifth time out on the lake with the new engine, and I'm still working out the carb and timing. I think I finally got it set up pretty well, and broke-in enough for a little 2 minute blast above 4G...

well, dammit.. I blew a gasket due to too much water pressure. I think it was the timing cover, or maybe the intake manifold but I'm pulling the engine and the heads anyway just to make sure it's not the head gaskets, and to get everything cleaned out good.

The boat has a standard Berkeley Pack-a-jet setup with the automotive style water pump, and logs and it didn't have any pressure reduction device before. I plan on keeping the automotive water pump setup.

Ok got the pipes built, polished and installed....Now I have to build a new engine cover because the new exhaust set up hits the doghouse and lid

Yuba Hose Down July 26 - 29 for 2012

I posted a "Event" notice to my FB NUTTZ, but for the rest of you......We do a Annual Adult trip to Yuba in July. This year we are planning July 26-29 I would like to reserve some spots ASAP so let me know if you ARE coming. I have 4 spots already but can get more. We camp on the West Beach and it is only a 1.5 hour drive from SLC. The spots will accommodate RV's, Trailers and Tents. This is the link to the Yuba page. http://stateparks.utah.gov/parks/yuba

This trip is called the Adult Trip due to WE like to Party and all Parents need a break from the kiddos once in a while....My kids are always on the boat with us Except This Trip

I just talked to my Father in Law in Parker..most of you know he has a home across the river from Badenochs...he was broke into last week and they cleaned him out...they even stole his v-drive boat..they are 86 years old and he has had this boat since 1973..<br />

I don't have a pic yet but I will describe it. It is a 20 foot Conquest GN style with a wood deck. The boat is yellow and it is worn. The deck shows it's age also. It's powered by a BBC with a chrome tunnel ram with two 660 Holley's. The motor has the Holman/Moody scoop with the fins. It has a magneto and the block is painted brown. The valve covers ar M/T and chrome also. The fittings are all stainless steel with braided lines. Battery is in the rear like most. It has two round aluminum
