well while i have been working on my challenger to try and get it ready for this spring sandy has set me back for probably a long time. you see the boat was in my shop and the shop got three and a half feet of water in it. the boat floated up but being the drain plug was out sank in the shop. i have yet to even remove the entire cover to look at the damage. i look at it like this at least its still in the shop. my boat yard only lost a few boats off the blocks but they didn't get damaged. but the marinas around me are destroyed. they lost nearly 3/4 of the boats in their yards. my yard faired the best because the original owner back in the '50's raised the yard up three feet which made a major difference. i refuse to give up but right now we are in bad shape. there are tons of boats in peoples yards. in 43 years i am alive i have never seen such destruction. my problems are nothing compared to what my family went thru during this storm, my wife's cousin's husband was killed trying to save his family when a tree fell on him. his wife and four year old daughter where just a foot away from him so this problem is nothing to me right now. all i can say is i hope everyone here and around me are safe and continue to be safe.
