View Full Version : 1981 Wellcraft Nova

Picked it up last fall. One engine was at short block stage, and the other was entirely in pieces. So I attempted my first engine rebuilds. They're working so far.

It says Scarab on the logo and the logo looks original, but according to Wellcraft brochures for 1981, it has to be a Nova II.

It's a Nova. Wellcraft made both. Those were great boats when they came out. Still are!! But they're not a jet.

Twin 350's and it is turning out to be a fun toy. I still am breaking in the engines. We mainly do tubing and what not.

Here is a video that is fun, but ends really well when we hit our own wake. My wife shut off the camera because she thought she was going to drop the camera. Lucklily we caught the end.
