Sleek did the boat stop straight? Suppose the trans would let the prop free wheel kinda like a whirl away?

Ram I was 1/2 throttle or less when it happened so no issues.

Hey sleek I had the same issue a year ago on Gen 4 block that was just .030 over. Broke the crank as well but took 3 4 right out of it so it ended up in 3 pieces, stuffed a 1 inch hole into the water jacket.I also took out the webbing on the bottom of the block It sucks, it was on a motor that had 5 runs on it. Check the webbing close, I've seen a couple of them that have done this as well since mine went.May save a little headache. I've also heard that if the crank breaks between 3/4 and 5/6 it's a balance issue with the rotating assembly. Between 1/2 and 3/4 it's a damper issue. Not sure that's correct but might be worth looking into.

I'm thinking harmonics. I put alot of time on this motor. when I put the trans in it I used a converter eliminator deal like you use in sprint cars.
needless to say the splines checked out so I tried a spider type adapter from A-1 trans.
when it goes back together I will check everyting.

Thanks. The float toy I'm using now is an 89 Mirage 217 intruder cuddy. I also have a Rogers Bonneville that we're currently building. I picked it up a few weeks ago and hope to have it done this fall. For some reason we either end up at starvation, Utah Lake or the North end of the Gorge. How about you?
