View Full Version : Panther Oil Diptstick Location.

This is the location of the oil dipstick in a Panther Pump. Check this before every outing. Panthers use 85/90 gear oil to lube the bearings. Not to much though, they only hold 4 or 5 ounces! Also give the Zerk (grease fitting) in the rear of the Pump a shot of grease before every outing. This will help keep your pump trouble free for many years. Heres a picture of where the dipstick is located. Inside the boat!

Oh, don't worry Jason!! I can take it! My wife calls me a dipstick all the time....Gotta be able to take a few since I gave David a little shot about his stature, and you a few shots about the fact that you don't know that the engine should be in the boat and not behind it.

Ahhhhhhh.........thats what makes this place S P E C I A L !! just FYI, I had a PM on how to check the oil in a Panther....Pump that is! and since you Can't attach a pic in a PM. Here it is!

one more dumb ? is the line on the dipstick the full or low mark mine gets to the mark with about two ounces of oil
