Stopped by Bill's shop this afternoon after work and met Mike and heard his Eliminator... Nice!!!

Spoke to Mike for a bit and he tells me that Bill has taken care of this boat for him for quite some time and he is proud of this very nice Eliminator!

Stopped at the powder coaters (Perfect - It Powder Coating) to pick up my parts today and visited Bill's shop.
These aluminum rods are more polished than any other piece on my boat!!! And worth more I bet too!!!

An interesting note about Aluminum Rods is, as the engine they are in revs higher, they actually stretch. This actually decreases deck height as they stretch and increase compression. This stretch is expected, and is one of many facets used in designing a very high performance engine! Nice stuff Bill!

I forgot about that, I don't remember how much Bill said that they stretched, 50 thousandths maybe?

They're gonna be flipping Jan's boat over tomorrow so the loader and shoe were installed. Makes it's easier than crawling under it later...

What the loader looks like coming thru the intake without the bowl installed.

I'm thinking your right on that point!!!
It got flipped over this morning so that it can get the top side painted and start putting all the hardware in it...

Hadn't seen Don at the shop for a while but, seems he sheered the cam drive gear off the magneto at New Malones this last weekend.
Mag was rebuilt at a local shop here and installed by Bill, he (Bill) thought it a little strange since they used a solid pin and not a roll pin.
They were working on it when I left so I'm not sure the outcome. Maybe Scott will fill in the blanks after he talks to his dad.

You had it on the money David I guess they pulled the distribitor out and removed the broking pin and replaced it with another one and its back running again.I dont know how many people out there saw him just before it broke he thought the diverter was down and he floored it and stood the nose straight up in the air and then he broght it back down half way and jumped on it again and the hole boat jumped completey out of the water. That was the first time and only time he will do that again. Not saying thats what broke it but you never know.It sure made my dad **** his pants ill tell you that .I wished we could of got a pic of it ,it looked really cool from shore

Yes it did! I'm glad it was such a small repair. Nearly everything on Don's Boat is Bulletproof! Now it sounds like one more item is as well! :)
