new to the boat thing and the jet boat thing! I am in Tampa fl i put a closed cooling system in because there are no lakes here. Still haven't tempted rough water yet i guess I'm chicken shiz still. so some islands are out. but i still want to explore so if anyone knows spots down here please let me know. i already love the attention this boat gets. i just need more practice with it.

Welcome aboard.

We like to see pictures of your boat.

Most all of us only use our boats in fresh water, not salt water.

That's a fine looking boat.

I didn't know that Chris Craft offered a jet boat.

I learn something new every day.

REALLY REALLY interested on the closed cooling system! Need details, pics, and what temps you run in different conditions and speeds! That must have been a project! Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy it!!!

Welcome LazNat! Kool little JetBoat! The closed cooling system is the only way to where you live! Cris Craft made some pretty unique little jetboats. I like how the scoop is integrated in the engine cover! Looks Good!

Thanks for all the welcome`s. the closed cooling system works great. I think it has a 160 t -stat, it runs 175 180 deg most of the time if i run W.O.T. it will go 200 deg. i will take some more pics of it installed but here are a couple more pics.

I found those ones on mine, on an old 429 engine. They have the little drip rails inside, and go strait up, instead of straight out from the head. :zwhistle:

Hey Laz I'm right down the street from you in SRQ ... I got a jet here too & hate salt water. We go to the inland lakes, like placid, June-in -Winter and Jackson. Yer looking about a 1-1/2 to 2hr ride to go anywhere cool with fresh water where you can really Run it. I got some small lakes close by but not too much room to really let it eat.

Mount Dora is a little closer to you and the Kissimee chain of lakes are cool too... Don'T do no closed cooling just keep her in fresh :hi:
