Glad to be the first to post in the V drive sect. This is one of the resto's Im in the middle of. This was a Craigslist find like no other, well to me anyway. In July of 09 I was taking my family out of town for a week. We planned on staying most of the time in Polson Montana, on the Flathead lake. Like any good man, I started scanning Craigslist before we left looking to see what boats are awaiting. I found an add for a Revenge with very little info and no pic. I sent a message and didnt hear anything back before I left. Well to make a long story short, while shopping with the wife, four year old boy, and four week old boy in Whitefish the guy called back. I asked a few questions, he didnt seem to know much about his boat, in fact, not even enough to convince me it was a Revenge. I asked the wife if she was into cutting the shopping short, Real Short, and head another 250 miles to Great Falls to look at a boat. Well I married a true princes, and she said sure sounds good, havnt been there before. So as the story goes, I stole this thing, and to make matters better, Much Better, the Hin has its original racing number and name.....K28 EPIDEMIC. Turns out this was a spare built for the Revenge owner builder and racer, Bob Goettel, several time world record holder K boat driver/owner. They made 5 of these with the number in the HIN. I have found Two others for sure, unknown of the rest. I will be painting it soon with plans of re-creating the sceme I have attached, if I can get some better shots of the deck.

After I took the engine out and cleaned it up. Couple days after getting home.
Bulkhead removed
Guages filled, new bulkhead
In prime

Lots more to come.

Thanks fella's. This has been a bit slow for the first year, lots of other things going on. Its moving pretty fast now. Ill keep em comming, in the mean time here are a couple more pics. Tomorrow Ill post some more, as well as my other project. Im a bit heavy on projects, and I still have a turn key deal, Yes I have a sickness.

This is this boat I found in a Old Hot Boat mag. I was looking for another boat for someone else, and stumbled across my boat on the opposing page.
This is the paint scheme Ill be shooting for..... As long as I can find enough photos to work with.
Really crappy photo, on the way home in Polson MT.

Fantastic Ror. Good to see you post this up here. This boat is truly a find of a lifetime and I'm glad it ended up with Ror who'll do it right.

For those that ever have a chance to talk to Bob Goettel, enjoy ever minute of it and make sure you have a pencil and paper cuz the stories are incredible.

Another Boat from my childhood around Hot Rod Boats! I just wish my Dad was a Racer or Mechanic instead of just a big fan! But it sure is kool seeing these old girls come back to life! :happy2:
