So I have been asked about the "Thrill in the Chill at Lake Berryessa" and the only thing I know is that it is slated for November 7th.
If anyone has anymore info on this that they can share that would be awesome!!
Where you all hanging out and launching from, etc?

OK, have alittle update on this event. Looks like most of the Guys coming out want to make this a Saturday Event (11-06-10) Everyone that I have talked plans on arriving at about 10am at Lupin Shores (formerly Steele Park) its $20 to launch. This is pretty much a hang out under the EZ-ups, Blast around the lake, show everyone your rooster tail session. Its a great Ice-Breaker to meet a bunch of Jet Boat Fanatics, See boats in every form factor, from projects to Autorama Quality Builds. Heres a Yahoo Maps link from the Sacramento are, it can easily be readjusted to wherever your traviling from. So come on out!

Anyone wishing to join us is more then welcome. Even if you just want to tag along, or aren't sure how to get to the lake. Feel free to come along.

Man the weather was looking so nice for this weekend early on in the week but, it looks like it might "Chill" down just a bit in honor of the event title?
Maybe even a little rain!! Dang it!!!

Thats where the "Thrill" part comes in! Is it gonna? or is it Not? If you go and it Doesn't, would be a thrill to once again outwitt the weather people. If you don't go and it doesn't, you missed out on a huge lake without a ton of boats on it. If you go and it Does! At least there is a few other insane peeps out there to BS with under an EZ-Up while enjoying your favorite beverage. If you don't goes and it does. You have the personal satisfaction of knowing your gonna spend another rainy day in the house doing nothing! But prolly won't get very wet!

The Cole family would like to Thank all for the great time we had yesterday. Exactly the kind of event that we can bring our kids to. Realy love the shirts David. I wish I could have bought more, since I think my two boys have claimed the ones I got. Everyone was very friendly and generouse with all. I think I learned more from just listening to the boat tech. talk yesterday than I have been able to learn on my own over the last 2 years surfing the internet.
My son Brandon and I would also like to thank Steve "Justsquirtin" for the awsome ride in his boat. A memory he will have forever. We have launched from steele park dozens of times and never, and I mean "Never" has that launch seen so much excitement and fun as was had yesterday. Thanks again everyone.
PS...... I posted the pics I took yesterday in my photo album

@ Iamjmc2 - Thank you for supporting the site with your involvement here and spreading the word with our apparel. I hope we have twice as many boats in that cove next year!!!! Maybe if we guarantee them 25 boats for that date next year we could have that cove to ourselves? That way it could become Berryessa's 1/4 mile Cove!! I will look into that... See you New Years Day @ CFW?

@ justsquirtin - You are an awesome ambassador for the jet boat/hot boat community. You are so willing to get involved whether it's parts, advice, food, and even the occasional ride of a lifetime.... Thanks Doug!!

@ pubicnme - Thanks again for joining up here.... You have done an awesome job getting your VJB back together. I'm glad you enjoyed the new folks you met, the chips and BM's!! Hope to see you New Years Day @CFW and I hope Kelly's feeling better today too?

@ 78 Tahiti - DOOD!!!! Don't anyone with bad brakes try and keep up with him on the way outta Berryessa!! That was a man on a mission!!! LOL!!!! Good thing that Chevy truck of mine has Ferrari suspension parts (jk) under it so that it could handle those 35 mph corners @ 45 mph with a boat behind it.... I did look in my mirrors constantly to make sure it was still there!!! LOL....

so far and iM pretty lucky, considering the first day we launched it it broke down. Kelly is ALL IN. we had 2 great trips this summer for 2 days or more and no problems....

but yeah the little stuff I obsess on. however it is winter time. I figure thats the perfect time to work out all the bugs...and I do know eventually that flexplate will need swapped out. but thats down the road... I think the biggest problem is this boat just sat rotting somewhere for a while hence all the bad fittings leaking gaskets...

Back up if you will to the date Sept 30, 2010. This site was four months old and built because when I Googled "Vintage Jet Boats" all I found was this dead site that hadn't been updated in years...

I knew nothing of Nor Cal Jets, So Cal Jets, LBBA and even the big daddy Performance Boats didn't rank well in that search!!!
So being a guy that had built web site before I built this one.
Also let it be known that I'd only owned a jet boat for two years prior to this even.

All that said, this past post was an LBBA event and all events that belong to them will be posted here for all to see...
I would recommend to visit their site for more info.
You must be a member and logged there to view anything other than basic stuff.
