Hi dbr1990...

Thanks alot for all the good words!!! It's been about a month now...
I love my VJB as well, that's why I got this site going. Every time I searched out "vintage jet boats" a site would pop up in the top spot that was inactive and had been inactive for a few years.
I wanted someplace to hang out....

I was really happy when vintagejetboats.com was available as well.

Thanks again and get you pic posted.

I was wondering the same thing?? It is getting good traffic daily and yet people aren't joining up.

Any input you can think of would be great! I've been adding a bunch of cool 8) stuff for members to use...

If guests wish to email me their ideas and why they aren't joining up they can do that david@vintagejetboats.com

some ideas-
how to threads with pictures
history thread or look up references for makers/boats

ps: do a google on jet boats and see what google picks up. That might be one way to get your site higher up.
Nice site, just quiet.

David
08-03-2010, 11:43 AM
What would you like to know "How to" do?

I will look into getting some info on different boat references.

Oh I hit the search engines regularly.... It's a constant battle to get up there. I was #1 for "vintage jet boat(s)" for about two weeks and then dropped to #3.... If you search just "jet boat(s)", I suck, need to work on that.

David
08-11-2010, 03:04 PM
Hey Oldmxdog61u? Did you see the link with the references? Is that what you were thinking?

Hello my vintage boat friends!I will get some pics of my boat on here soon. It's getting a face lift as we speak.I just ripped the seats, carpet and motor out. Getting it ready for some new seats ,carpet, gauges, fresh motor and pump.My dad bought the boat new in 78 and he thinks he remembers the owners of Liberty saying they worked on the boat personally. That's kinda cool!

WELCOME BRYAN! Sounds like a cool project! Seems like half the guys in here are rebuilding right now, you are in good company! Lots of good ideas and advice in the forum if you need it. Looking forward to pics! Thanks Jason

the only probelm at CFW on the weekends is it can get pretty busy. Theres a group of Wicked Boats that used to go out there on a couple Thursdays or Fridays every Month! on those days you could make a lot of hot runs & not worry about hitting a roll bar boats wake at 100mph.

David
03-15-2011, 06:38 PM
Could do Friday after work of course for me anyway... I just figured the 2nd would be an easier day to get a group together...

Had to increase the size a bit so they got a little blurry...
Try changing the resolution on your camera up to at least 640 x 480 or 1280 x 960 for a little better quality image and it's still small enough that it doesn't use a lot of memory...

How fast is that thing being towed? By the boats wake, it looks like he's only doing about 10 mph! Might have to add a little rope length for a pump boat, but with a diverter in the down position, and the way a jet can wiggle the stern of a boat. I bet I could give that cat some serious time out on the whip! :sign0068:

First off I want to say welcome to all of you! :hi:
Secondly, post up. Say hello. You are all welcome here. This is a very friendly site. While many of us are friends here, it didn't start out that way. Many of us became friends because after posting here!!! I love to make friends. Some of my friends here have never met me face to face. I hope to change that over the years by boating across the nation!

I look forward to hearing from and seeing pictures from those across this great nation that have the same passion for boating as I do!!! :rooster: :rooster: :rooster: :rooster:

I too have met some great people from the birth of this site, some face to face, some on the phone, and some just chatting it up here...
I have learned a ton from all of you in regards to my vjb as well and I thank you all for that!!!

One thing I hope everyone notices and respects is that we are not like other forums in regards to soft porn and bashing.
Ain't gonna happen here!!! The other forums can have that stuff...

I think Jason has a secret stash of them, and is trying to drive the price up! Kind of like Pick & Pull has done with Pre 1974 model year vehicles, by turning every one they can get their hands on, into a cube of metal!

I don't think there is such a thing on these boats. I have over 9 thousand in the motor in my avitar, and its spread all over my shop. Rotating ***. is getting put up and a new Callies rotating ***. AFR heads and a Hampton 871 blower taking the place of 088s T ram and scat crank and rods. I will eventualy put it in another motor for the wife. The only thing I can think of thats still GM is the block and as soon as I can it will be a Dart Big M.

I've played on most of the main lakes in UT. We usually like to play at Rockport, or UT Lake because they are relatively close. Too many D**k-hea*s at Deer Creek for me.

For fishing we like to do Flaming Gorge, Strawberry / Soldier Creek, or Jordanell. I try to make it to Powell every couple of years.

Powell is my Favorite, but the wife and kiddo's hate 100* nights... (Maybe I should stop taking them in July )

We also play a lot in a little mud hole in Delta.
