Hello!!

Roger here from the North Georgia mountains. Dahlonega to be exact. Looking to find my first jet/V-drive boat to take to Lake Lanier. Been into the Jet Ski, ATV/ATC, Dirt bike, snowmobile (when I grew up in MI) and all that hot rod car/truck stuff so now it's time to turn to boats.

Tell me what you all think or know about these 2 choices I'm keeping an eye on.

1. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/boa/5129593529.html (Close)

2. http://toledo.craigslist.org/bar/5128305252.html (On my way back home to MI)

First of all, welcome to the site.

If those are the two you're leaning towards, I'd go for the Mandella over the Passant. That may be because I'm a Notre Dame fan though.
That Mandella is a nice boat. Just remember that while a flatbottom will be faster, you'll need a lot calmer water for it over a tunnel hull or semi-V.

BTW, my kid is stationed in Georgia.

HI and welcome as well.
I too am with Wolfie on this one. The Mandella is more $$$$, but is a great value too. That's just my opinion.

Are you looking Jet or Vdrive? Where you headed to in Michigan, mine isn't that fast 60MPH but if you want to go ride in a stock 455 tahiti your more the welcome. The new engine is coming together slowly. Just got some "C" heads this weekend

Another one exists :)

Thanks Dean. It does fit in the budget for sure. Probably could find someone thru UShip to haul it back here for a fairly reasonable price. Could fly a cheap flight out there..rent a truck with a hitch and drive it back my self. Never been out west.

Road Trip!

Not really set on either....Jet or V-Drive. Does need to be more than a 2 seater though if possible but that's not set in stone either.
Parents still live in Mid state...Farwell/Lake area. I get up there about 1-2 times a year.

You may want to give Tim a call at ProBoats in Woodstock Ga. He is the only local jet boat shop around Ga as far as I know. I have been dealing with him for years. Has always been honest up front and fair on prices...770-928-1533
