Hi Guys and Gals,
I'm totally convinced I want to have a jet drive. After rebuilding my 5.7/350
SBC and bumping it to a 368 cu. in., I made the fatal mistake of continued use of the Alpha 1 gen1 I/O, 1.47:1 ratio, assuming that it would hold up. I was sadly mistaken. 2 weeks ago I went out on the Indian River about 20 mins before sunset to test the new trim senders, only to blow the out drive up! And not in a good way. The pics speaks volumes. I bought another used drive, rebuilt it, and reinstalled it last Saturday morning. Tested great with no issues at all. Motor is putting out approximately 360 Horsepower and 340 ft lbs of torque. That is based on dimensions during rebuilding motor. Old drive was 28+ yrs old, so I'm ok with the whole thing. The saving grace was my membership to SeaTow! Best $169 you can ever spend, trust me there. Thx, Dean

Nah, it just chews away at the Cochina rocks. I've got the used props to prove it too :hysterical:
I own 6 different props! 4 of which are 4 sale! Thx buddy.

That's why I like my jet!!! On Utah Lake, it's 12' at the deepest!!

Of course, if something does happen and you sink it, it's not too far down!!!
