I should have mentioned those are forged 10 to 1 flat top pistons . Stock olds 455 pistons are dished, valve clearance wont be an issue .

Looks like pistons are cut for valve lift though. Stock arnt I don't believe.

Good evening, I have a stock (Far as I know) 455. I would like to upgrade cam. Nothing to radical. So my first question is what size lift is stock in marine motor? .474??? If so could I go to .510 without piston interference? And second I have a set of roller rockers that id like to use. When I remove the stock rocker bolts can I directly replace with rocker studs or will I need machine work. I plan on upgrading push rods and installing guide plates at that time. Thank you for any help and info. (I have built a few sbc chevys but this is my first olds).
