Yes Naughton is we’re I go most the time. It’s free camping good fishing it’s not a really a recreation type lake but it’s fun. No sandy beaches. Lol but a nice little lake. We could get together their it would be fun. Or the George.

I dont know the owners at all. More regulation is seldom a good thing in my book. Most lakes around here are more like 8 bucks a day...25.00 for 2 isnt double that but its close. For the record the noise limit(in utah) for boats made prior to 1993 is 90 dcb...atfer 1993 its 88 A couple decades ago my brother in law and sister were denied access to utah lake/provo boat harbor. They flunked the noise nazi test WITH mufflers. I almost scared a little kid right off the dock and into the lake at deer creek last year. As humorous as it was(glad he didnt get wet) I guess I better warn people near by from now on. As far as the camping deal....you can beach camp at strawberry, yuba, the gorge, ect, ect, ect

Kreg, day rates were same as camping kuz they wanted people just to stay on the freerange beach instead of driving home LOL. $25 for 2 nights w/boat always seemed like a deal to me. It was the last open shore, do whatever you wanted, had space to camp lake in Northern Utah IMO. Except for the drunk that sank my fancy anchor and float that one time with his half wacker, always liked it there. Yes it was small but on weekdays the lake was yours! I don't think any res in UT has a noise restriction except that it can get you unwanted attention like an inspection or lecture that really isn't legal but..... Any res deemed motorless means electric or paddle only. Even Moon Lake "fishermans paradise" just has a sign that politely asks loud vessels, ski vessels, personal watercraft etc that they are welcome but please be respectful to other users of the lake. Meaning stay off but if you have a good lawyer you could fight it? Anyway, Echo Resort was the last of its kind. The State has been pushing Joy around for 15yrs and finally won. Its a shame, next summer an asphalt jungle with camping spots the size of HomeDepot parking spots will beckon all, the café will be gone, no more camp fires and worst of all my favorite little cove will probably have "reserved for the next 3months for political reasons" on the new picnic table pavilion.

He seemed a little disappointing when I told him I was broke down.....and oh by the way great timing you can tow me in. lol Too small....to crowded....too expensive....can never get a parking spot. I guess you can tell how I really feel.lol Where do you typically go Ted? My ol man use to always go to naughton(sp) fishing.

Finally got my little bird on the road again this year. She got a new top last month, will be getting front disc brakes next week. In Nov the dash plastic goes out for reconditioning, and I'll be upgrading the instrument cluster to a Dakota Digital unit. The DD unit keeps the stock gauge look while adding much more info, and it has a large list of options/add-ons.

What Jason means is the R.I.P. is that it will be like the rest of the lakes around. No loud boats and you won’t be able to pick a spot on the beach and camp. But who know mybe it will be better. Their was no noise restriction but they’ll be one now. Guess this means we will all just have to come to my local lake. Camping is free and you can make all the noise you want. When I say noise I mean beautiful V8 music;)

Why the RIP? Nothing in the link says anything about closing or draining the lake. Although when I drove around it last week the level looked way down.
